SMITHVILLE HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE

Though Smithville High School has produced plays and musicals for many years, the birth of a dedicated co-curricular theatre program in Smithville began with the construction of a multi-million dollar Performing Arts Center in 2012.

Initially, SHS produced one full-length musical each Fall and one full-length play each Spring.  In the 2020-2021 school year, a third full-length play was added to that schedule. Now, SHS Theatre produces a co-curricular mainstage show each Fall, Winter, and Spring as well as smaller productions prepared as part of direct classroom instruction.
